End of the Year Report Cards

Olivia received all E's through out the whole year. She loved/loves school! Her reading really picked up through out the year as well. It melted my heart to see what her teacher had to say about her at the end of the year. (I have to say her teacher is so amazing that I and a few other moms have begged her to move up to first grade since there is a spot open. She is wonderful.)

These 2 pictures are the assessed writing that is required in Kindergarten by Knox County Schools. They have to do it 3 times during the year. Each time the hope is that the kids will show progress with their writing. Olivia has blown this away! She has received 5's each time and really let her mind go on this last one. I have to say I am one proud momma. She also got the writing award for her class. Not because she always spells things right or because she has the best writing but because she loves it, she really tries and she is willing to write away. Her teacher loved her creativity.

I have to say the above math award made me a proud momma. The Continental Mathematics League is only offered to kids in Knox County Schools who are in Math Olympiad. (Which is part of the TAG program offered my the school system.) Isabella met once a week with Mrs. Keeney and a few other students from her grade and 5th grade. It is a real honor to get to be involved in Math Olympiad. She was in competition against other 4th graders and 5th graders county wide.  She placed 3rd out of the county.

She also made the Honor Roll who the whole year.

She finished out the year with A's. You will notice in the bottom right corner are some handwritten subjects and numbers. These are her scores from her TCAP's. TCAP's are Tennessee's state proficiency test. This year these scores were converted into 1-100 points and figured into the last grading periods totals. (it counted as 15% of their last 9 week grade.) Isabella was a little worried that she hadn't done well in Social Studies but as you can see she did well in all her subjects. She was advance is 3 subjects and proficient in one. I am so proud of her the way she really puts forth everything she has to school. She loves to learn!
