Since my last post, we have crammed as much into summer as we possibly could. Over the 4th of July we took off to see some friend in Indianapolis, IN. While we were there we took advantage of the World's Largest Children's Museum. It was wonderful! When we got back the girls headed to 3 different VBS's. All 3 were different themes. Isabella was gone for 3 days to Journey Camp at Carson Springs in Newport TN. I honestly do not think we could have crammed anything else into the month of July.

give you a different view. It was so pretty.

through. I also found out while in IN, he went to school
with Colleen who we were staying with. So I learned
a lot more about what happened with Ryan White.)
End of Summer
Summer has wound down. No more days of staying up late, playing in the yard from light til dark, swimming all day, catching lighting bugs and just enjoying summer fun. With the end of summer began a new school year. The start to this school year has been different than all the others. For the first time, the girls have some things in common with school. They are both attending The Kings Academy, they both have to wear uniforms, they have the same expectations in school, they both are having to make new friends and learn the ins and outs of a new school. We attended a walk through in the spring just before we enrolled the girls, we attended the ice cream social the PTF put on to welcome us to the TKA community, we did the walking/talking tour to help make them more comfortable and we went the required orientation the Saturday before school started. We had been to so many functions already we felt like part of the school. But both had new school/first day jitters.

I wanted to get a pic of Izzy in her class or close to it but she had to be in the auditorium for teacher introductions (which she said were very funny).
The girls have finished their first week of school. Both LOVE it! Olivia said second grade is awesome. Isabella is loving middle school. (I still can't believe she is in middle school.) She has her own locker that is decorated with a chandelier, locker wall paper, and cool stickers. (Apparently that is the hip thing.) She is changing classes, has 8 class periods a day, homework every night and thinks middle school is the best thing. (so far)
