Our Spring Break was packed full! When the girls got out of school on Friday we headed to meet Travis's mom, sister and Aunt to celebrate Isabella's birthday. Saturday we ran a few last minute errands and then home so I could get everything packed up and ready to go. Sunday morning we headed to church. The girls kept watching their watches....waiting on 12 o'clock.....so we all could change and hit the road.
(Here is a little back ground leading up to the next events and why the girls were so excited.
While in seminary our vacations consisted of coming home to see family. So we promised
the girls after Travis graduated we would take a family vacation just the 4 of us somewhere
special. Well he graduated Dec. 15 ,2011 and we are settled in Knoxville. But how would
we afford to take them somewhere special after moving and doing some updates. We filed
our 2011 tax return and found out that God was richly blessing us! We had money to pay
off many medical bills that had been looming over us, money to put back in savings and
money to take a much needed family vacation. So we planned it, booked it then took the
girls to the mall and asked them while standing in the Disney store if they would like to
go meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Excitement was not even the word. Our trip was 3 1/2
weeks away at that time. Olivia turns around to me and says mom you better get washing
closes because we go to Disney in 3 weeks. Ha ha ha, she reminded me everyday and
counted day with it.)
At 1 pm we hit the road bound for Orlando, FL. We arrived at 11:15 pm and checked into our condo. Unpacked and after some bed swapping we were all fast asleep dreaming of princesses and Mickey Mouse.
