What a wonderful long weekend we had. My parents came in on Thursday evening and stayed until this morning. It was a blessing having them stay as long as they did and it gave us time to do stuff we normally don't get to do when they are just here for a Saturday. Travis and my dad got to enjoy playing golf Friday morning, we cooked surf and turf for the 4th of July, we worshiped together Sunday morning, cooked out Sunday night, watched 2 great kid movies with the girls and went to the zoo on Monday. I think we honestly packed as much into the days as we could. I can't tell you how much it means to us to have visitors and especially family. We cherish every moment we get to spend with them. We were very sad to see my parents go home this morning (I even cried) but we are really looking forward to seeing Travis's mom and sister on Saturday then leaving for the beach with them on Sunday afternoon. It will be such a blessing to our hearts that within 2 weeks we have gotten to spend time with both of our families.
