Well I have been horrible about posting since summer started. So I will do some catching up now.
We have been making a few days trips different places just to get out of the heat and see what is around us. We took off up to Danville, VA one day on all back roads and it was a blast. The girls loved looking around and seeing all the farm land and all the animals that go with the farm. We are taking off to VA again tomorrow morning to visit a church that Travis will be speaking at in Aug. So we will get to see the other side of VA.
The girls and I spent all last week back home in TN. It was such a great trip. We got in Monday around lunch and spent some time with my mom running errands and then went and spent time with my Papaw who has recently moved to an assisted living facility. Tuesday the girls swam and played then they went to play at their Mamaw's house. As you can imagine their Mamaw and Auntie Amy spoiled them rotten. Wednesday began a errand running marathon. We started at my brother's condo and helped them pack up some things to take to their new house and then gathering stuff for my sister-in-laws baby shower. Thursday evening we got to spend some much needed time with Travis's mom and sister again which was so much fun. Friday Isabella got the treat of spending the whole day with my dad. She had him all to herself. They ran errands, took Papaw (my dad's dad) to the doctor, swam and just had fun. (it was such a good thing for her!!) Saturday was a hectic day that started with me finishing a set of hooded towels, wrapping baby gifts, getting an oil change (which I had to squeeze in) and getting my girls to their Mamaw's house for a day full of fun. As you can imagine the girls had a blast. They got the treat of going shopping with their Mamaw, Auntie Amy and Sissy (Travis's aunt). The girls always have a good time and never stop talking about all they do while with this mom, sister and aunt. (I love that they can't stop talking about what they do either.) So after dropping the girls off, mom and I got everything ready for the baby shower. My sister-in-law got some great gifts. I feel so blessed to have gotten to help put on a shower for her. (unfortunately we won't get to go in as soon as Emma Grace is born so getting to do the shower was so important to me.) So as you can see we packed about as much as you can into 6 days that was humanly possible, but it was fun as always.
This week we hit the ground running. I have had meetings church, Travis's has been working at church and Starbucks and the girls are enjoying playing outside and having Popsicles to stay cool. We are so blessed that my mom and dad are coming over Thursday and staying till Tuesday. I am so excited to get to spend the 4Th with them and cookout and play. Then the following Saturday Travis's mom and sister come over and Sunday after church we leave for the beach with them for the week. What a blessing to have them come over and share their vacation with us. (and the Monday after we come back Isabella starts back to school.) So life at the Henderson's is busy but is a joy everyday.
If your over this way give us a call. We would love to see you.
