On December 21,2011 Isabella had the opportunity to participate in Mt. Olive's school spelling bee. She had won the top speller position for her class and her friend Ella won the second place spelling position. We practiced for days and days on her words. She could spell words I couldn't even pronounce. She did great during the practice rounds, but you could tell she was super nervous. Her word was large, she spelled it larg, and then started kicking herself as she walked away because she realized she forgot the e. We were so proud of her. Nerves just got the best of her. It was good practice for next year. (since she was one of 12 top spellers in her school of 335)
